The Blackout is the third episode of the first season of the Un-Named Show, and is the third episode overall.
Synopsis
The power goes out and Madelain is not at the house, so Nash and Mac go outside to find her, but run into her annoying boyfriend while doing so.
Plot
The episode begins with Nash and Mac both waking up in the early morning as the sun rises. They do their morning routines, and once they sit down to watch TV, the power suddenly goes out. Nash calls for Madelain, but there is no response from her.
Their habits kick in making them attempt to get into the car, but they fall flat on the ground when trying to do so, and so they head out to find Madelain. Searching around Pot Road, they bump into Madelain's boyfriend, Ace.
Nash, Mac, and Ace all ridicule each other, bickering until Nash provokes Ace by calling him a grape, resulting in Ace punching him in the face. After this, Ace walks back to his house and shuts the door, though the two chose to follow him.
They both fall under the belief that Ace had kidnapped Madelain and trapped her in his house, and they conduct a plan to make sure they could get her out. Nash grabs a rock from the ground and starts hitting a random window in Ace's house until it shatters, and they both break in through there.
Nash goes down into the basement, while Mac chooses to go upstairs. While Mac is going up the stairs, he accidentally steps on a squeaky toy, leading to Ace to know he is in the house, and toss him out. While Nash is in the basement, he accidentally steps on another toy, however this one does not squeak. It is only until he drops the soap that Ace finds out Nash is in the basement.
Nash makes an attempt to hide in the closet, though Ace easily knows that Nash is there, and proceeds to kick him out of the house as well. The two begin moping at the thought of needing to live without her, thinking it would be almost impossible to do so. When they get back to their house, Madelain is suddenly back, shocking them both. She claims that they never let her go shopping, and the episode ends.

Trivia
- This episode's thumbnail and intro having the art be crudely drawn is a joke that without Madelain, Nash and Mac have no idea how to do one.
- This is the first episode where Madelain is not a main character, in this case only being used as a plot device and appearing right at the end.
- When Madelain appears, her hair has two pointy bits at the top. This episode is before it was decided to make that a part of her design permanently.
