Incident Report: Anomalous Entity A-0014 ("Pencil Beast")

Field Report - Agent [REDACTED]:

Entity Designation: A-0014, colloquially known as the "Pencil Beast," though I prefer to call it the "Unkillable Beast." My team and I first encountered this entity years ago in the forest, and since then, it has proven to be a formidable challenge. Despite multiple attempts to neutralize it, the creature exhibits an extraordinary ability to regenerate, rendering it effectively immortal.

The entity possesses a highly potent charm, capable of overwhelming the minds of those in proximity, inducing a deep affection or admiration towards it. We sought assistance from the NDP to develop specialized helmets that counteract this charm, and while cumbersome, they are effective.

Each time we eliminate the entity, it undergoes a transformation—reappearing with a different appearance, voice, and with no recollection of previous encounters. Notably, its voice consistently retains a childlike quality, adding to the disconcerting nature of the anomaly. Its current manifestation resembles a giant book with pencils protruding from its head, a crudely drawn "owo" face, and four eraser-like legs. When provoked, the face morphs into one with glowing, flame-like red eyes, an image that remains disturbingly vivid.

Despite the protective measures, I’ve observed a disturbing level of admiration among my colleagues for this entity. It infuriates me. We've conducted experiments where we've placed criminal demons in containment with it; the entity invariably charms them, lulls them into a sense of comfort, and then devours them. Although demons are known to be unpalatable based on previous tests conducted by [REDACTED], this behavior is consistent.

There have been instances where, upon provocation, the entity has [REDACTED]. I harbor a deep loathing for this unkillable bastard. My resentment grows with each encounter.

Field Report - Agent [REDACTED]:

I have been assigned to manage the relocation and reclassification of Anomalous Entity A-0014-73, referred to by some as the "Pencil Beast." The NDP has requested that the entity be moved to a more stable classification, with the intent of integrating it into an urban environment. This decision follows their observation that this particular iteration, A-0014, appears to be more docile than its predecessors.

While Agent [REDACTED] has documented the entity's lethal capabilities, I have observed a potential for this iteration to exhibit traits of humanity. The NDP believes that by capitalizing on the growing "kawaii" trend, the entity could generate substantial funding if properly marketed. As a father to a daughter who is enamored with the new "Sailor Star" anime, I understand the potential appeal. However, I remain firmly opposed to the notion of granting the Pencil Beast any form of rights.

Today's task involves a test of my resolve—I have been ordered to amputate one of its legs. Although I harbor a deep fear of approaching the entity, I have been provided with a protocol designed to pacify it afterward. Given that 72 prior tests have been conducted, I can only hope the guidelines are accurate.

End Report.
